Greetings from northern Minnesota! This weekend I’m in mining country, about an hour north of Duluth. It’s beautiful here and you can smell pine in air. There will be scenery pictures on the next couple of posts.
For now, I wanted to share some pictures of my little buddy, Jesse James.
When Dad’s house was sold, it was difficult to care for two cats in the van. Serena is an intrepid little girl and adapted to the farm life pretty well. But it was unlikely that Jesse would have fared well. He’s pretty high strung and does not like the outdoors. Jesse was sent to Minnesota to live with a friend but did not have a way to get back home. That’s the reason for the 450 mile trip to retrieve him.
It was also difficult to keep my mind focused. I wanted to see this little guy! There’s a reason for the puffy red eyes. We’ll just say it was allergies causing the sniffles. (yeah, right!)
I’ll be here another day and then am heading back home on Monday… with the little feline buddy who purred, licked, and slept next to me all night. He’s gonna love the trailer and the long hallway for running – at all hours.
In addition to getting my kitty, there has been more fun had. Yesterday the “largest candy store in Minnesota” was visited and some cool photos were taken. Today some friends and I are heading into Duluth. Hmm… I wonder if they have kringla up here?
More pictures will be coming soon!
Take care and thanks for visiting.
