Hello and welcome to the blog today. There are only five days left until Christmas. It’s amazing how fast the time is zipping by!
On one of the busy days at work, I was helping out in Lawn & Garden, Paint, Hardware, Automotive, Sporting Goods, and on the Fabrics table. The Fabrics area is where I met Beth Anne, a nearby resident. She makes a high quality cat litter from recycled corn stalks. It is all natural and has no fragrances. Cats love it.
As we spoke (and I cut some fleece for her), we got to talking about cats, camping, trout, and other topics. Beth Anne was interested in the van and asked me to send her some photos and text about the adventures. Beth Anne featured the kitties on her web page. It was touching to see the pictures of Serena, Jennifer Stefanie, and Jesse James – all photos familiar to regular blog readers.
Here is the link to the “People and Their Cats” section: Beth Anne’s Finest All Natural Cat Litter.
I’ve been doing some reading about the litter and it is very well reviewed. The corn based product needs to be maintained at least 3 inches deep to prevent liquids from reaching the bottom of the van. Though a little slower to clump than clay, one reviewer said it is very scoopable… I am happy that the cat doesn’t have to walk around with bits of clay in his / her paw. (which could be ingested) This litter is also flushable (which I probably would not do). Instead, since it’s biodegradable I would just toss the used product in the field across from home; there’s virtually no environmental impact. The plan is to purchase a bag for the kitties to try. You’ll see it here!
Well, that’s about it for now. The next fews days are going to be busy as we head toward Christmas day – the only time Wally World is closed. I’ve got some special plans for New Year’s and am even thinking about taking Jesse or Jen-Jen along. Buddy Johnnie and I are looking forward to enjoying some time hanging out on Christmas Day.
In the meantime, it’s almost time to start putting out the Valentine’s Day stuff… Oh, the joys of working in retail. 🙂
Take care and thanks a bunch for visiting! Safe and happy travels as we approach one of the most important days of the year to Christians.
